This policy explains what judeamponsah.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written for UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
who runs this site
This is the portfolio of Jude Amponsah, an art director and designer based in London. Jude is the data controller. For anything about your data, email judeamponsah@outlook.com.
what is collected and why
- Server logs. Like every website, the host records your IP address, browser, the pages you ask for and the time, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: legitimate interests (running a safe website).
- Emails you send. If you email me, I keep your name, address and what you wrote so I can reply and, if we work together, run the project. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or steps towards a contract if you are asking about work.
- Your cookie choice. The site remembers whether you accepted or chose essential only, in your browser's local storage. Legal basis: it is strictly necessary to respect your choice.
- Visit counts, only if you accept. If you click accept, the site may count visits and a few actions (such as clicking to email me or opening a video) with Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies or collect personal data. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time from "cookie settings" in the footer. If analytics is not switched on, nothing is counted.
There are no forms, accounts, payments or mailing lists on this site, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.

- Hostinger hosts the site and keeps the server logs described above (Hostinger privacy policy).
- Vimeo plays the showreel on the home page. The player is set to "do not track", so Vimeo does not set tracking cookies, but it does receive your IP address to stream the video (Vimeo privacy policy).
- Plausible Analytics, only after you accept and only if switched on (how Plausible handles data).
- Microsoft Outlook handles email sent to my address (Microsoft privacy statement).
- Links out to YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram and other sites take you to services with their own policies. Nothing from them loads until you click.
Fonts and images are served from this site itself, not from outside services.

You can change your choice at any time with "cookie settings" in the footer of any page.
how long data is kept
- Server logs: for the short period set by Hostinger, then deleted.
- Emails: as long as we are talking or working together, then for up to two years after our last contact, or longer where the law requires (for example tax records for paid work).
- Analytics: only totals are kept, with no personal data.
your rights
You can ask to see the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how it is used, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email judeamponsah@outlook.com and I will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

This site is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
